Short answer: for free Base Sepolia ETH, try the Alchemy faucet first (0.1 ETH every 24 hours, but your wallet needs at least 0.001 ETH on Ethereum Mainnet). If you have no mainnet balance, use QuickNode (one claim every 12 hours), the Coinbase Developer Platform faucet or the Superchain Faucet. For test USDC, use Circle's faucet, which sends 20 USDC every 2 hours.
Base Sepolia is the test network for Base, Coinbase's Ethereum layer 2. Its ETH and tokens have no value, so you can try wallets, apps and smart contracts without risking real money. This guide lists the faucets that work, how much each one gives, the network details for your wallet, and how to make your first Base Sepolia transaction.
Faucet limits change often. We checked every faucet below on October 17, 2026. If a number differs from what the faucet shows, trust the faucet's own page.
Base Sepolia Faucets at a Glance
- Alchemy: 0.1 ETH every 24 hours. Needs 0.001 ETH and some activity on Ethereum Mainnet. No account.
- QuickNode: one claim every 12 hours. No account and no mainnet balance.
- Coinbase Developer Platform: up to 0.1 ETH and 10 USDC per 24 hours. Needs a free CDP account.
- Chainlink: 0.5 ETH or 25 LINK per drip. Connect your wallet.
- Superchain Faucet: 0.01 ETH every 24 hours, more with a verified onchain identity. Needs a sign-in.
- Circle: 20 test USDC every 2 hours. No account.
Base Sepolia Faucets That Work in 2026
1. Alchemy Base Sepolia Faucet
- Gives: 0.1 Base Sepolia ETH once every 24 hours.
- Account: none. Paste your wallet address and select Send.
- Requirements: your wallet must hold at least 0.001 ETH on Ethereum Mainnet and have made enough real mainnet transactions. Wallets that already hold a lot of testnet ETH are refused.
Alchemy gives the most ETH per claim without a sign-in, but the mainnet check rules out brand-new wallets. Open the Alchemy faucet.
2. QuickNode Base Sepolia Faucet
- Gives: a base amount that QuickNode shows after you enter your address. Sharing a post on X doubles it.
- How often: once every 12 hours per wallet address.
- Requirements: no QuickNode account, no post on X and no minimum mainnet balance, so a new wallet can claim. You need to pass a bot check, and smart contract or multisig wallets may fail where a normal wallet address works.
This is the best option for a wallet with no mainnet history. Open the QuickNode faucet.
3. Coinbase Developer Platform (CDP) Faucet
Coinbase's developer faucet covers four Base Sepolia assets. Per 24 hours:
- ETH: 0.0001 ETH per claim, up to 1,000 claims (0.1 ETH in total).
- USDC: 1 USDC per claim, up to 10 claims (10 USDC).
- EURC: 1 EURC per claim, up to 10 claims (10 EURC).
- cbBTC: 0.0001 cbBTC per claim, up to 100 claims (0.01 cbBTC).
You need a free Coinbase Developer Platform account to use the faucet in the CDP Portal. The limits apply both to your CDP account and to the receiving address. Developers can also call the same faucet from the CDP SDK. Open the CDP faucet.
4. Chainlink Base Sepolia Faucet
- Gives: 0.5 Base Sepolia ETH or 25 testnet LINK per drip.
- How it works: connect a wallet such as MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet or one that uses WalletConnect, choose the tokens, complete the captcha and send the request.
Chainlink's page does not list how often you can claim. If your request is refused, try another faucet on this list. Open the Chainlink faucet.
5. Superchain Faucet (Optimism)
- Gives: 0.01 test ETH every 24 hours to anyone who signs in. Verifying an onchain identity unlocks more.
- Networks: Base Sepolia, OP Sepolia, Ethereum Sepolia and other OP Stack testnets.
- Requirements: sign in to the Optimism Dev Console. The site is protected by reCAPTCHA.
6. Circle Faucet (Test USDC and EURC)
- Gives: 20 test USDC per request. EURC is also available.
- How often: one request per asset and network every 2 hours, per address.
- Requirements: no account. Select Base Sepolia, paste your address and complete the reCAPTCHA.
This is the fastest way to get Base Sepolia USDC. Circle's faucet only sends stablecoins, so you still need test ETH from another faucet to pay gas. Open the Circle faucet.
What About the Google Cloud Faucet?
When we checked on October 17, 2026, Google Cloud's Web3 Faucet did not list Base Sepolia. It does list Ethereum Sepolia (0.05 ETH). You can claim Ethereum Sepolia ETH there and bridge it, as shown next.
Bridge Sepolia ETH to Base Sepolia
If you already have Ethereum Sepolia ETH, you can move it to Base Sepolia with a testnet bridge such as Superbridge Testnets:
- Connect your wallet.
- Choose Sepolia as the source and Base Sepolia as the destination.
- Enter the amount and confirm the deposit in your wallet.
The deposit costs a small amount of Sepolia ETH for gas. Bridging is useful when every Base Sepolia faucet has turned you down.
Base Sepolia Network Details
These are the values from Base's documentation. Use them if your wallet does not list Base Sepolia yet:
- Network name: Base Sepolia
- RPC URL: https://sepolia.base.org
- Chain ID: 84532
- Currency symbol: ETH
- Block explorer: https://sepolia.basescan.org (Blockscout also runs one at https://base-sepolia.blockscout.com)
Add Base Sepolia to MetaMask
- Open MetaMask and select the network menu.
- Choose Add a custom network (or Add network, then Add a network manually).
- Enter the network name, RPC URL, chain ID, currency symbol and block explorer from the list above.
- Select Save and switch to Base Sepolia.
Many apps, PingGM included, also offer to add and switch to the network for you when you choose Base Sepolia, so you may only need to approve the request in your wallet.
Show Test USDC in Your Wallet
If test USDC does not appear after a claim, import the token. Circle lists this Base Sepolia USDC contract address:
0x036CbD53842c5426634e7929541eC2318f3dCF7e
Only import token addresses from the issuer's own documentation.
Make Your First Base Sepolia Transaction
Once you have test ETH, the simplest first transaction is a daily onchain GM on PingGM. It records one GM from your wallet on the network you choose, and it shows you the full flow of a real transaction: wallet connection, fee, signature and confirmation.
- Go to pinggm.com and connect your wallet.
- Select the Testnet filter and choose Base Sepolia.
- Select Send GM.
- Check the request in your wallet. It shows a small PingGM fee, read from the contract on Base Sepolia, plus network gas. On Base Sepolia both are paid in test ETH.
- Approve the transaction and wait for the confirmation.
- Paste your wallet address into a Base Sepolia block explorer to see the transaction onchain.
You can send one GM per network each day, and the GM resets for everyone at 00:00 UTC. PingGM is non-custodial: you sign every transaction from your own wallet, and PingGM never holds your funds or keys.
What to Try Next on Base Sepolia
- Deploy a smart contract: the PingGM deployer deploys a simple contract without writing code. Our multi-chain deployment guide walks through it.
- Launch a test B20 token: the PingGM B20 launcher supports Base Sepolia as well as Base Mainnet. Base Mainnet is selected by default, so switch to Base Sepolia before you launch. A Base Sepolia token has no value, which makes it the right place to rehearse. Read what Base B20 is first.
Base Sepolia vs Base Mainnet
- Value: Base Sepolia ETH and tokens have no value. Base Mainnet ETH is real money.
- Moving funds: test ETH cannot be moved to Base Mainnet or sold. Never buy testnet ETH; faucets give it away.
- Chain ID: Base Sepolia is 84532, Base Mainnet is 8453.
- What carries over: your wallet address is the same on both networks, so practise on Base Sepolia, then repeat the same steps on Base Mainnet with real ETH when you are ready.
- Spending real ETH: ETH on Base Mainnet can also pay for things online. For example, our guide shows how to buy Windows 11 Pro with crypto straight from a Base wallet.
No faucet needs your seed phrase or private key. A faucet only needs your public wallet address. If a site asks for your recovery phrase, close it.
Base Sepolia Faucet Not Working? Common Fixes
- "Not eligible" on Alchemy: your wallet needs at least 0.001 ETH and some transactions on Ethereum Mainnet. Use QuickNode, the CDP faucet or the Superchain Faucet instead.
- Cooldown message: you claimed recently. Alchemy resets every 24 hours, QuickNode every 12 hours and Circle every 2 hours.
- Tokens not showing: make sure your wallet is on Base Sepolia (chain ID 84532), not Ethereum Sepolia (chain ID 11155111). They are different networks with separate balances.
- Faucet says sent, but nothing arrived: paste your address into a Base Sepolia block explorer. If the transaction is pending, wait a few minutes.
- USDC missing: import the Base Sepolia USDC contract address shown above.
- Every faucet refused you: claim Ethereum Sepolia ETH from another faucet and bridge it to Base Sepolia.
Final Thoughts
For most people, the quickest route is Alchemy if your wallet has some mainnet history, QuickNode if it doesn't, and Circle for test USDC. Add Base Sepolia to your wallet with chain ID 84532, then send a test GM on PingGM to see a full transaction from start to finish before you spend real ETH on Base Mainnet.
