Buy a Windows 11 Pro key with crypto: pay with ETH on Base from your wallet, or with Bitcoin, USDT or USDC through NOWPayments. Steps, fees and fixes.

How to Buy Windows 11 Pro With Crypto (Bitcoin, ETH, USDC)

Short answer: you can buy a Windows 11 Pro product key with crypto from stores that accept it. On PingGM Store there are two ways to pay: ETH on the Base network, straight from your wallet with no account, or Bitcoin, USDT, USDC and other coins through NOWPayments, a crypto payment processor. After the payment is confirmed, the 25-character key arrives by email, usually within an hour, and you enter it under Settings > System > Activation.

This guide walks through both payment options step by step. It also covers how to get ETH onto Base, the mistakes that hold up crypto payments, and how to activate the key once it arrives.

PingGM Blog is published by PingGM, which also runs PingGM Store, where Windows 11 Pro keys are sold.

Buying Windows 11 Pro With Crypto at a Glance

  • ETH on Base: connect your wallet, enter a delivery email, approve one transaction. No Store account needed.
  • Bitcoin, USDT, USDC and more: sign in to the Store, open a NOWPayments invoice, then send the exact amount on the network shown.
  • Delivery: the key is emailed after the payment is confirmed, usually within 1 hour.
  • Activation: Settings > System > Activation > Change product key. It also upgrades Windows 11 Home to Pro without a reinstall.
  • No chargebacks: crypto payments are final, so check the product, the amount and the network before you send.

Why Pay for Windows With Crypto?

  • You already hold crypto. Paying from a wallet you use for Web3 skips converting crypto to cash and back again.
  • No card needed. Useful if your card is declined for international purchases or you prefer not to share card details online.
  • Low fees on Base. A payment on Base usually costs a small amount of gas, far less than on Ethereum mainnet.

The trade-off is that a crypto payment cannot be reversed. You rely on the seller's support and policies, not on a card chargeback, so read them before you pay.

Before You Buy: Four Quick Checks

  1. Check that Windows 11 runs on your PC. Microsoft's PC Health Check app tells you whether your PC meets the requirements, including TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
  2. Make sure you need Pro. A Pro key activates Windows 11 Pro. It also upgrades an activated Windows 11 Home PC to Pro in place. Not sure you need Pro? Read our Windows 11 Home vs Pro comparison.
  3. Know which license type you are buying. An OEM license is for one PC and stays with the first PC it activates on. A Retail license can move to a new PC later. See our Windows 11 Pro OEM vs Retail guide.
  4. Read the refund policy. Most key sellers do not refund a key once it has been delivered. PingGM Store's refund policy offers activation help and a replacement for a key its support confirms is faulty instead.

Base ETH or NOWPayments: Which Should You Use?

Pick the option that matches the crypto you already hold. If it is ETH on Base, Option 1 is the quickest. For anything else, use Option 2.

Option 1: Pay With ETH on Base

You need a wallet such as MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet with enough ETH on Base for the price and a little gas.

  1. Open the Windows 11 Pro OEM product page and select Buy with Base ETH.
  2. If your wallet is not connected, choose it in the pop-up and approve the connection.
  3. In Delivery Details, enter the email address that should receive your key, then select Confirm & Pay. If you are signed in, your account email is filled in for you.
  4. If your wallet is on a different network, the Store asks it to switch to Base. Approve the switch.
  5. Check the amount in your wallet and confirm the transaction. The ETH amount is calculated from the live rate, and your wallet shows the network fee before you sign.
  6. Wait for the Payment Received message. The Store then verifies the transaction on-chain and prepares your key.

Like every Base transaction, your payment is public on the blockchain. PingGM Store never holds your funds or your wallet's private keys.

If your wallet shows that the transaction was sent but the Store shows an error, do not pay again. Contact [email protected] with your transaction hash so the team can match the payment to your order.

How to Get ETH on Base

Base's own Get funds guide gives two main routes:

  • Withdraw from Coinbase to Base. In your Coinbase account, withdraw ETH to your wallet address and choose Base as the network. Base's docs call this often the fastest route, with no bridge needed.
  • Bridge from another network. If your ETH is on Ethereum mainnet or another chain, use a bridge that supports Base, such as those listed in Base's docs. These bridges are run by third parties, so send a small test amount first.

Whichever route you use, leave a little extra ETH on Base for gas.

Already use Base for onchain activity, such as a daily GM on PingGM? Then the same wallet works for this payment.

Option 2: Pay With Bitcoin, USDT, USDC and Other Coins

Use this option if your crypto is not ETH on Base, or if you want to pay from an exchange account.

  1. Sign in to PingGM Store with email, Google or your wallet.
  2. Open the Windows 11 Pro OEM product page and select Pay in crypto with NOWPayments.
  3. If you signed in with a wallet, enter the email address that should receive your key. If you signed in with email, the key goes to your account email.
  4. The Store creates an invoice and sends you to the NOWPayments payment page.
  5. Choose the coin and network you want to pay with, then send the exact amount shown to the address shown.
  6. Wait for confirmation. Bitcoin can take longer to confirm than faster networks. The Store's order page updates after NOWPayments confirms the payment.

Avoid These NOWPayments Mistakes

  • Sending less than the invoice amount. Many exchanges take their withdrawal fee out of the amount you send, so less arrives than you entered. Make sure the full invoice amount reaches the address.
  • Using the wrong network. USDT and USDC exist on several networks. Send on the exact network the invoice names, or the payment may not arrive.
  • Paying late. If the payment page shows a time limit, pay before it runs out. If it expires, start a new order instead of paying the old address.
  • Losing the details. Keep your order number and transaction ID until your key has arrived.

If something goes wrong, contact [email protected] with your order number and transaction ID.

After You Pay: Delivery and Activation

PingGM Store fulfils orders manually. After the payment is confirmed, the team checks it and emails your key, usually within 1 hour. If you are signed in, you can also find the key in your order history. Nothing after a few hours? Check your spam folder, then contact support with your order number.

To activate the key:

  1. Select Start > Settings > System > Activation.
  2. Next to Change product key, select Change.
  3. Enter your 25-character Windows 11 Pro key and select Next.

On a Windows 11 Home PC, the same steps upgrade it to Pro without reinstalling. Our Home to Pro upgrade guide covers that path, and the Windows 11 Pro activation guide covers fresh installs and error codes. If the key does not activate, PingGM Store's support helps with activation and replaces a key it confirms is faulty.

Is Buying Windows With Crypto Safe?

Paying with crypto is as safe as the store you pay. Before you send anything:

  • Check the seller's policies. Look for clear delivery, refund and support pages, and a real support address.
  • Check the license type. Very cheap keys are usually OEM keys. They stay with one PC and are meant for new PCs from a manufacturer or system builder. Know what you are buying.
  • Check the address and network. Only pay the address shown at checkout or on the invoice page, never one sent to you in a chat or email.
  • Never share your seed phrase. No store or support team needs it to take a payment.

A Note on Taxes

In many countries, spending crypto is a taxable event. In the US, the IRS treats digital assets as property, so paying for something with crypto counts as a disposal that can create a capital gain or loss. Keep a record of what you paid and when. Rules differ by country, and this is not tax advice.

Summary

You can pay for Windows 11 Pro with crypto in two ways. If you hold ETH on Base, pay straight from your wallet with no account. If you hold Bitcoin, stablecoins or other coins, sign in and pay through NOWPayments. Whichever you choose, send the exact amount on the right network and keep your order number. Your key arrives by email, usually within an hour of confirmation, and activates in Settings.
